Playing their 4th match in 3 days on the road, the MCC Pioneer volleyball team got their MonDak Conference season started with a tough 0-3 loss to perennial power North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. That momentum went in to the next 2 games as the Wildcats won 25-21 and 25-19.

MCC got 13 kills at the net from Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT) and another 8 from Skyla Pierson (Deer Lodge, MT). Maria Stewart (Billings, MT) had 25 assists and the Pioneers got a service ace from Lynn, Stewart, Pierson, and Jayda Southworth (Winifred, MT).
