Miles City, MT - The Miles Community College volleyball team lost, 0-3, to Rocky Mountain College JV in the first home game of the 2018 season. The Battlin' Bears won by scores of 25-16, 25-9, and 25-16.
Samantha Bonenberger led the team in assists with 13. Ceeara Staiger had 7 kills to lead MCC. The Pioneers as a whole collected 7 aces. On defense, Kailey Thomson led the way with 15 digs. Hailee Kuske recorded 1 block.
"Rocky played error free," commented coach Chase Soennichsen. "Any time a team plays that way, they are going to be hard to beat. The score didn't reflect how hard our team played. This was a good game to prepare us for conference play. I can't wait!"
The Pioneers will be home again Friday, September 7 at 5:00 pm as they play host to the Sheridan College Generals.
