ROYALS SNEAK PAST PIONEERS

Miles City, MT - The Royals of Lake Region State College traveled to Miles City on Friday to take on the Pioneers.  It was a tight game, with a lot of back and forth in each set.  The Pioneers ultimately fell 1-3.  The set scores were as follows:  22-25, 25-27, 25-22, and 17-25.

After two very close sets, the Pioneers rallied to get the victory in the third set.  The Royals proved too much for the Pioneers in the fourth set, as Lake Region would take the set and game victories.

The Pioneers had 29 total assists, led by Tori Ogolin with 15.  Amaya LaFranier had ten kills and Ceeara Staigar was close behind with seven of the team's 36 total kills.  The Pioneers had 90 digs in the game, led by Kailey Thomson with 30 and Ogolin with 15.  LaFranier and Hailee Kuske each had three blocks, while the team managed 12.  Anniekate Burghduff and Samantha Bonenberger had two aces a piece.

The Pioneers will be on their home court again Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm against North Dakota State College of Science.
