PIONEERS FALL TO WILDCATS, 0-3

Miles City, MT - The Pioneers were at home on Saturday afternoon, as they hosted the Wildcats of NDSCS.  With the Wildcats being the second ranked team in the conference, MCC knew it would be a battle.  After a strong performance in the first set, the Pioneers couldn't keep up the intensity in the second and third sets and ultimately fell, 0-3.  The set scores were as follows: 22-25, 16-25, and 15-25.

The Pioneers had 30 total assists, led by Samantha Bonenberger with 17 and Tori Ogolin with 13.  Amaya LaFranier and Uluwehi Brooks had seven kills each of the team's 30 total kills.  The Pioneers had 51 digs in the game, led by Kailey Thomson with 19 and Bonenberger with 14.  Taylor Stahl and Briannah Quick each had three blocks, while the team managed 10.  Ceeara Staiger and Samantha Bonenberger had four aces a piece.

The Pioneers will be in action again Tuesday, October 2 as they head to Northwest College to take on the Trappers at 7:00 pm.
