PIONEERS FALL IN FIVE TO BUCS

The Bucs of Dawson Community College traveled to Miles City to take on the Pioneers Monday evening in the Kailey Gymnasium.  Each set was very tight, hard fought, and came down to the last point.  After winning the first two sets, the Pioneers couldn't keep up the intensity and ended up dropping the last three sets to fall in five to the Bucs.  The set scores were as follows:  28-26, 25-20, 16-25, 22-25, 12-15.

The Pioneers had 36 total assists, led by Samantha Bonenberger with 22.  Amaya LaFranier had 14 kills and Ceeara Staiger was close behind with seven of the team's 41 total kills.  The Pioneers had 109 digs in the game, led by Kailey Thomson with 35 and Taylor Stahl with 21.  Hailee Kuske had 6 blocks and Taylor Stahl had five, while the team managed 19. Samantha Bonenberger had nine aces to lead the team.

The Pioneers will be on the road next when they head to Devil's Lake, ND to take on the Royals of Lake Region State College on Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm.
