About the Pioneer Club

 

OUR HISTORY

The Pioneer Club, formerly known as the Quarter Century Club, has a long history with Miles Community College athletics. Originally formed to help boost the athletic programs, the Pioneer Club has that as one of its priorities and part of its mission statement.

MISSION STATEMENT

As the official support group for Miles Community College intercollegiate athletics, our mission is to create a network of support for the MCC athletic programs. This includes recognition that Miles Community College is committed to providing regional and national competitive athletic programs as an integral part of the educational mission of the college, and that all programs sponsored shall be in compliance with the highest recognized standard of the institution and its athletic governing bodies.

In harmony with the college’s stated mission, the Pioneer Club shall be committed to the intellectual,cultural, and social development for all athletes and will serve as a support group in providing education opportunities for student athletes and be a focal point to bring the student body, faculty, and  community together.

To carry out this mission, the Pioneer Club will endeavor:

A. To foster communication between the Pioneer Club, athletic director, and coaches.

B. To provide support through marketing promotions and fund raising.

C. To build positive community and area relations.

D. To promote interaction with current athletes attending Miles Community College.
