Ashlie Larson Named Women's Basketball Assistant

Miles City, Mont. - Former Custer County District High School basketball standout Ashlie Larson has been named as the assistant coach for the MCC Pioneer Women's Basketball program. .

Larson comes to MCC after concluding a playing career at Dickinson State University, an NAIA school in Dickinson, ND, where she graduated with a degree in business administration.  Larson was a two-time all-conference selection while leading the Blue Hawks in scoring both seasons and surpassing the 1,000 career scoring mark in January 2020.  During the 2018-19 season, Larson played for former MCC head coach Liz Lewis. 

Prior to Dickinson State, Larson competed at Casper College from 2016-2018, playing for former MCC head coach, Dwight Gunnare.  At Casper, Larson was an all-region selection during the 2017-18 season, as well as a member of an NJCAA National Tournament team that season.

The 2016 Custer County District High School graduate led Montana Class A in scoring her senior year at 20 points per game.
