Game 1

(Miles City, MT)  The Pioneers put up eight runs in the second on the way to a 15-2 victory in a five inning game over Dawson on Tuesday.  MCC opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring one run on a triple by Nate Bloxham. MCC's big second inning was driven by singles by James Martin and Will Riley, doubles by Carson Hoke and Bloxham, a triple by TY Jones, and a groundout by Lewis Johnson.  

Anthony Bleggi earned the win for on the mound for the Pioneers. He surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out four. Zack Jensen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Pioneers tallied 12 hits. Riley, Martin, Bloxham, and Jared Bellows each had two hits to lead the team.  The Pioneers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bloxham made the most plays with six.

 Game 2

The Pioneers defeated Dawson, 8-0 in the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.  The Pioneers got on the board in the first inning when Jared Bellows drew a walk, scoring one run.  MCC secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Cade StuffWill RileyNate BloxhamTY Jones, and Lewis Johnson, all driving in runs in the frame.  

Chris Rofe was credited with the victory for the Pioneers.  He lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.  Sean O'Hagan threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

MCC tallied ten hits on the day. James Martin, Jordon Thomson, and Bloxham all collected multiple hits for the team.  Martin led with three hits on four at bats.

 The Pioneers will face Lake Region State College at home this weekend for their first conference matchup of the season.  Doubleheaders will start at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31.
