Game 1

(Miles City, MT) The Pioneers were victorious over Dawson, 6-2 in the first half of today's doubleheader.  Luke Turner was the winning pitcher for MCC. He lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and two runs while striking out 12.

James Martin went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Pioneers in hits.

Game 2

Lewis Johnson was bad news for opposing pitchers in game 2, driving in four on two hits to lead the Pioneers past Dawson, 13-4 on Friday.  Johnson drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the third.

MCC pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Johnson homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.  The Pioneers tallied four runs in the fourth inning. MCC scored its runs on an RBI home run by Nate Bloxham.

Keith Manby was the winning pitcher for the Pioneers.  He surrendered four runs on four hits over four and a third innings, striking out seven.  Jack Stead threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Pioneers socked three home runs on the day. Bloxham had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Johnson had a long ball in the first and third innings.

MCC totaled ten hits in the game.  Bloxham, Martin, Johnson, and Riley each managed two hits to lead the team.  The Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field. Bloxham had the most chances in the field with ten.
