PIONEERS COMPLETE THE SWEEP OVER DCC

Game 1

The Pioneers took the lead late and defeated Dawson, 7-5 in game one on Saturday. The game was tied at three with MCC batting in the top of the eighth when James Martin's sac fly scored one run for MCC.

Chase Feller was the winning pitcher for the Pioneers. He lasted four innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two.  Jared Bellows started the game for MCC.  He surrendered three runs on three hits over four innings, striking out six.  

The Pioneers launched one home run on the day when Ty Jones went deep in the fourth inning. Feller led the team with two hits in four at bats.

Game 2

Chris Rofe didn't allow a single run against Dawson, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Pioneers to a 8-0 victory in game two.  

Rofe took the win for on the mound for the Pioneers. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out six and walking one.

The Pioneers collected nine hits.  Bellows and Kiran Carcary each had two hits to lead the team.
