PRELL SIGNS WITH PIONEER BASEBALL

Clay Prell committed

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College Baseball team has announced that Clay Prell will be joining the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season.

Prell is a 5'11" infielder from Miles City, MT.  He attends high school at Custer County District High School in Miles City, MT.

Clay was selected Academic All-State in the fall of his senior year and will graduate with honors.  In 2018, Prell had a batting average of .300 with an OBP of .427 through 38 games.  He had a fielding percentage of .814 on 102 chances.

Clay is the son of Casey and Marla Prell of Miles City, MT.  While at MCC, he plans to complete his General Studies.

Prell on attending MCC: "I chose to play at Miles Community College because of the well-known tradition of success in their program, as well as, the opportunity to play for my hometown college. I have a former teammate as well as former Pioneers who have coached me, and they speak nothing but good things about the program and the experience they had/are having. That made my decision to play for Miles Community College that much easier. I cannot wait to get started this fall."

Coach Brabant on Prell: "I'm very proud to have Clay join our program.  I have been fortunate to watch him grow and succeed in our youth league as well as watch him excel on the court and field for CCDHS.  Clay's family is as good as they get as well.  Having the background that we have been able to share makes this a great fit for all involved.  Clay is a tremendous athlete and fantastic student.  His work ethic is high and his attention to detail is superb.  His mold is exactly what we look for in a player…blue collar, team guy with the want to work and the ability to knock the classroom out of the park.  Clay will be a factor for us before it is all said and done and I am excited to watch him continue to grow in his hometown."
