PIONEERS MOVING ON

(Miles City, MT) The Pioneers won big over Lake Region State College, 12-2 on Friday in their first game of the MonDak Conference Tournament.  MCC got things moving in the first inning, scoring one run on a wild pitch.  The Pioneers then put up six runs in the second inning.  The big bats in the inning were led by walks by Will Riley and Jared Bellows, a triple by Nate Bloxham, and a fielder's choice by Chase Feller.

Keith Manby was on the hill for MCC. He went five innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out 12 and walking one.

MCC socked one home run on the day. Bellows had a four bagger in the fifth inning.  Bloxham went 2-for-4 at the plate. leading the team in hits.

The Pioneers will face Bismarck State College at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 4.
