DA signing with OPSU

It was a tale of two halves at the Pioneer's season opener at the MonDak Conference Tournament on Thursday, November 1.  MCC started off the game hot with an early 15-2 run.  NDSCS rallied back, but the Pioneers were able to take a 34-32 lead into the half.  NDSCS was able to control the tempo of the game in the second half, forcing the Pioneers into some bad decisions and capitalizing with 17 points off of turnovers.  It came down to just a few shots at the end, but the Pioneers ended up falling to the Wildcats, 66-74.

Akeemis Williams was the high scorer for the Pioneers with 15.  Gedeon Buzangu had a double-double for the Pioneers with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Issac Abergut also had 11 rebounds for the Pioneers.  DA Wyche led the team in assists with four.

The Pioneers will take the court again Saturday, November 3 at 12 pm, when they take on the loser of Friday's game between United Tribes and Bismarck State.
