PIONEERS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT WITH VICTORY OVER MYSTICS

(Bismarck, ND) Four Pioneers scored in double figures, as the Miles Community College men's basketball team started conference play and defeated Bismarck State College, 101-88, on Thursday evening.  It was a close game to the very end with four lead changes and two ties in the game.  After one half of play, the Pioneers found themselves in the locker room with a, 43-41 lead.  In the second half, the Pioneers were able to hold onto and extend their lead, while holding off a 8-0 Mystic run late in the game.  After a four game winning streak, the Pioneers improve to 8-8 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.  

DA Wyche led the Pioneers in scoring with 28, followed by Gedeon Buzangu with 20, Issac Abergut with 17, and Akeemis Williams with 11.  Buzangu completed the double-double with 16 rebounds to lead the team.  Wyche added a team leading 12 assists.  

MCC will take the court again tomorrow night in a non-conference matchup against the Jamestown College JV team at 6:30 pm.
