The third road game in a week proved to be too much for the Pioneers on Sunday in Wahpeton, ND.  The game started out slow for both teams.  After seven minutes of play, the score was tied 2-2.  The Pioneers finally started to get their offense going and were able to build up a 20-6 lead on the Wildcats at one point.  The Wildcats would start to mount their comeback late in the first half, however, cutting the Pioneers lead to 33-27 at the break.  The Pioneers were able to hold off the Wildcats for much of the second half, but with 9:35 to go in the game, the Wildcats took the lead and didn't look back.  The Wildcats extended their lead in the last few minutes of the game, and the Pioneers would lose this one, 71-86.  

DA Wyche and Cristian Colon had 13 apiece to lead the Pioneers.  Gedeon Buzangu added 12 and Deondre Northey had 10.  Buzangu led the team in rebounds with seven, followed by Joey Lodine with six.  Wyche led MCC in assists with four.  

The Pioneers will face Lake Region State College on Thursday, January 17 in the Kailey Gymnasium at 7:30 pm.
