PIONEERS DROP HEARTBREAKER TO MYSTICS

(Miles City, MT) Six Pioneers scored in double figures on Thursday night, but it wasn't enough, as the Miles Community College men's basketball team fell to Bismarck State College, 94-98.  It was a close game to the very end with nine lead changes and seven ties in the game.  After one half of play, the Pioneers found themselves in the locker room with a 51-47 lead.  MCC held the lead most of the second half, even extending the lead to 14 at one point.  However, the Mystics were able to fight their way back, and with :45  to go, took the lead and pulled off the comeback victory.  The Pioneers fall to 10-13 on the season and 2-5 in conference play.  

DA Wyche was the high scorer with 18, followed by Issac Abergut with 14, Gedeon Buzangu with 13, Akeeemis Williams with 12, Joey Lodine with 11, and AK Kuany with 10.  Kuany led the rebounding effort with 9.  Lodine and Buzangu each pulled down seven boards.  Wyche had seven assists to lead the team.

 The Pioneers face United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, ND on Monday at 6:30 pm Mountain time.
