(Bismarck, ND) It came down to the very end, in a nail-biter game for the Pioneers against the Thunderbirds of United Tribes Technical College on Monday evening in Bismarck, ND.  After a tightly played first half, the Pioneers took a 43-39 lead into halftime.  MCC held a lead by as much as 10 points in the game, but the Thunderbirds came back in the final few minutes. With just 12 seconds left and down by three, the Thunderbirds had a chance to tie the game.  However, a missed 3-point shot at the buzzer for UTTC sealed the victory for the Pioneers, 86-83.

DA Wyche and Gedeon Buzangu each scored 21 to lead the Pioneers.  AK Kuany scored 16 and Issac Abergut added 14 to the effort.  Kuany completed the double-double with 13 rebounds to lead to team.  Wyche led MCC with five assists.  

The Pioneers will be on the road again on Wednesday, when they travel to Devil's Lake, ND to face Lake Region State College at 7:30 pm Mountain time.
