(Miles City, MT) The Pioneers fell to the Thunderbirds of UTTC on Sunday afternoon in an overtime thriller.  The Pioneers got off to a great start and controlled the first half, taking a 38-36 lead into the locker room at the break.  It was a close second half, with several lead changes and ties.  At the final buzzer, the Pioneers found themselves tied with the Thunderbirds, 78-78 to send the game to overtime.   UTTC shot the ball better in the extra period and the Pioneers ultimately fell, 89-95.  The Pioneers finish the regular season with 13-17 record and 5-8 in conference play.

Gedeon Buzangu and Joey Lodine recorded double-doubles in the loss.  Both recorded 15 points and pulled down 17 boards.  DA Wyche led the Pioneers in scoring with 28 points.  Issac Abergut added 16 and Evan Harrell had 11.  Wyche had eight assists to lead the Pioneers.  

The Pioneers will head to Williston, ND on Thursday to face Lake Region in the first round of the Region XIII Tournament.
