The MCC men rallied in 2nd half from an 8-point halftime deficit to take a lead with six minutes to go, but went cold down the stretch and Dawson pulled away with an 82-73 win in first round of MonDak Conference Preseason Tourney.

The Pioneers were hampered by 26 turnovers and 37% FG for the game. Dawson outrebound MCC 50-38 on the night. Freshman Favour Chukukewlu led Pioneers with 16 points and Issac Abergut added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Deondre Northey picked up 5 assists. 

The Pioneers have a quick turn around and will face Bismarck State at 9:15 AM MST on Saturday morning.
