Twelve hours after a disappointing loss to Dawson CC, the MCC Pioneers came out blazing early and went on to defeat Bismarck State 91-59 in the MonDak Preseason Tourney at 4 Bears Casino. 

Akeemis Williams knocked down 5 first half 3 pointers and 6 for the game to lead the Pioneers with 22 points. Favour Chukwukelu pitched in 18 and Deondre Northey added 11 points and 5 assists as the Pioneers evened up season record 1-1. Freshman Dunstan Esimone, filling in for injured Gedeon Buzangu led the team with 9 rebounds. MCC shot 57% from the field and hit 13-28 from the 3 point line. 

The Pioneers will play Dakota College-Bottineau tomorrow morning at 9:45 AM MST.
