Pioneers Knock of Casper in OT Thriller

Issac Abergut (Melbourne, Australia) knocked down a game tying 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds in regulation and the Pioneers scored 29 overtime points in knocking off 14th ranked Casper 115-110 on Saturday night in Miles City. Abergut scored 29 points, had 7 assists, and 6 rebounds while Deondre Northey (Las Vegas, NV) scored 38 points along with 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. The Pioneers shot a dismal 26% in the first half but rallied in the second half by shooting 63% from the field and the 3-point line. Casper led 38-30 early in the second half before Miles used a 14-0 to take a lead they would have for awhile. Miles led by as many as 12 with 9:00 to play but Casper used a burst to take a late lead before Abergut's big shot. 

Favour Chukwukelu (Las Vegas, NV) came off the bench to score 18 points and Gedeon Buzangu chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. MCC hit 12-19 from long distance in the second half and also 82% from the free throw line. This was the Pioneers 7th straight victory as they moved to 7-1 on the season.

Casper had a big nght out of Jalen Harris (Los Angeles, CA) with 32 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds while Tavion Robinson (Houston, TX) added 22 points and 9 rebounds for the 6-2 T-Birds. 

Miles will host the 12th ranked and undefeated Otero Rattlers on Wednesday night at 6:00 PM in Miles City.
