Otero Uses Late 2nd Half Run to Beat Pioneers

Juduhkiss Soto came off the bench to score 18 points and dish out 5 assists leading a balanced Otero attack of 5 Rattlers in double figures in a 93-69 win over Miles CC. Romon Douglas-Watkins had 16 points and 9 rebounds, Leigh Elliott-Sewell contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds while RayQuandis Mitchell had 15 points and Marquise Johnson 12 for the 14-0 and 5th ranked Otero. 

Miles cut a 17 point halftime deficit to 3 in the second half and had multiple chances to close the gap under the 8 minute mark before things got out of reach in the final 4 minutes. Deondre Northey had 17 points and 4 assists, Akeemis Williams had 14, Gedeon Buzangu 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Issac Abergut had 11 points and 5 rebounds as the Pioneers 7-game winning streak came to an end. The Pioneers committed 21 turnovers on the night and were out rebounded 38-30. 

Miles will hit the road this weekend for games at Northwest College and Sheridan on Friday and Saturday.
