Central Wyoming Too Much for Pioneers

Gedeon Buzangu (6'8 Sophomore, Congo) scored 30 points and pulled down 14 rebounds but it was not enough as the MCC Pioneers saw foul problems from the start in a 94-78 Central Wyoming win in Riverton, WY. Darius Guinn (6'7 Sophomore, Portland) led a balanced Rustler attack with 22 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds as Central Wyoming won its sixth straight game to run its record to 10-5. Jacob Smith (6'0 Sophomore, Richmond, CA) came off the bench to score 18 points, Freshman guard Jaylon Gentry (5'7, Brown Deer, WI) hit for 14, while James Woods (6'1 Sophomore, Surry, BC) had 12 and Jerroda Briscoe (6'8 Sophomore, St. Petersburg, FL) added 11 for the Rustlers. 

For the 8-7 Pioneers, Akeemis Williams (5'9 Sophomore, Las Vegas, NV) came off the bench to score 17 (5-6 3's) and Deondre Northey (6'0 Sophomore, Las Vegas) netted 11 before fouling out early in the second half. Buzangu picked up 3 early fouls in the first half and played most of the game in foul trouble. 2nd leading scorer Issac Abergut fouled out in the second half as well. 

The Rustlers hit 24-28 FT while MCC went to the line only 11 times and making just 7. CWC outrebounded MCC 46-40 in each team's final non conference game. CWC will open up against Casper at home on Wednesday and Miles will host Bismarck State on Thursday.
