Huge 2nd Half Leads to Pioneer Win

Deondre Northey (6'1 Sophomore Guard) scored 35 points (12-20 FG, 7-11 3's) grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 5 assists to lead Miles to a 98-88 come from behind victory over Bismarck State (0-1, 3-14). Miles (1-0, 9-7) trailed by 10 points at halftime but rallied in the 2nd half to lead by as many as 21 points with 4 minutes remaining and coasted to a win in first MonDak Conference game of the season. Miles outscored Bismarck State 59-39 in the final 20 minutes as Bismarck State cooled off from a hot shooting first half that saw them hit 9-19 3's. BSC hit only 7-23 3's in the second half and shot only 33% from the field. 

Gedeon Buzangu (6'8 Sophomore Forward) recorded his 3rd straight double double with 13 points and 12 rebounds after sitting much of the first half in foul trouble. Favour Chukwukelu (6'1 Freshman Guard) came off the bench to score 16 points (4-9 3's) and Issac Abergut (6'6 Sophomore) added 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists. 

Bismarck State was led by Kyler McGillis (6'1 Sophomore Guard) with 25 points (9-17 FG, 6-12 3's) and 8 assists. Joe Jahner (6'0 Freshman Guard) had 21 points and 7 assists. Jamison Kramer (6'5 Freshman) had 16 points and 7 rebounds. 

The Pioneers will host North Dakota State College of Science on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM.
