Big Offensive Night Leads Pioneers to Win in Bottineau

Issac Abergut (6'6 Sophomore) had a big night with 29 points (11-17 FG, 4-7 3's) and 13 rebounds to lead 5 Pioneers in double figures as MCC went to Bottineau, ND and came away with a 107-94 win. The Pioneers (4-1, 12-8) also got 23 points from Akeemis Williams (5'9 Sophomore) who connected on (5-11 on 3's and 6-6 FT). Deondre Northey (6'0 Sophomore) had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists while Favour Chukwukelu (6'1 Freshman) and Gedeon Buzangu (6'8 Sophomore) both added 11. Jayvon Lewis (5'11 Sophomore) led the Pioneers in assists off the bench with 5. 

DCB (0-4, 5-15) had 4 players in double figures as Kobe Clancy (6'3 Freshman) returned to the lineup after missing several games and had 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Jackson Johnson (6'0 Guard) had 21 points (7-15 3's) and Tyriek Johnson (6'0 Sophomore) had 20 points (7-13 FG, 4-8 3's). 

MCC led by as many as 21 points in the first half before Bottineau rallied to cut the lead to one at 69-68 midway thru the 2nd half. MCC outrebound the Jacks 39-33 on the night and had 24 assists on 35 FG. MCC will host rival Dawson on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM in the MCC Centra.
