Rough Start Leads to Lopsided Loss to NDSCS

The MCC Pioneers missed 10 of its first 11 shots of the game and just couldn't get anything going offensively as NDSCS rolled to a 94-70 win on Sunday afternoon in Wahpeton, ND. Duoth Gach (6'7 Sophomore) continued his hot shooting with 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-6 3's) to lead a quartet of Wildcats in double figures and grab sole possession of 2nd place in the MonDak Conference standings. The Wildcats are (8-2, 21-4) on the saeason.  Damien Gordon (6'5 Sophomore) connected on (6-9 FG, 2-4 3's) and Rayquan Moore (5-12 FG) each scored 14 points in the balanced effort by the Wildcats. Mohamed Kone (6'0 Sophomore) added 15 points (6-6 FG, 2-2 3's) as the Wildcats most likely secured 2nd place and a first round bye in the Region 13 tournament at the end of the month. 

MCC was led by Gedeon Buzangu (6'8 Sophomore) with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Also in double figures were Las Vegas products Deondre Northey (6'1 Sophomore) and Jayvon Lewis (5'11 Sophomore) with 10 points each. The Pioneers fell to (7-3, 15-10) and will host Dakota College-Bottineau on Thursday in the final home game of the season at the Centra. Game time is 7:30 PM MST.
