Pioneer Defense Leads to Victory Over Dickinson State JV

The MCC Pioneer defense came to life in the 2nd half and helped the Pioneers snap an 8-game losing skid in a 79-57 win Friday night in Miles City, MT. Dickinson State took a 35-34 lead to the halftime break but the Pioneers held the Bluehawks to only 8 second half baskets which led to some of the most productive offense of the season for the Pioneers. DSU shot only 8-33 (24%) in the 2nd half and only 4-17 from 3-point range. 

Blessing Adesipe (6'6 Sophomore) led the charge for the Pioneers with 30 points (12-19 FG, 3-4 3's, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Pioneers got big games from their center position as Ethan Venema (6'7 Freshman) scored 11 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3's, 1-2 FT) and had 8 rebounds (4 Offensive) while David Gorianskii (7'0 Freshman) picked up 10 points (5-10 FG) and 6 rebounds. Denzel Kabasele (6'2 Sophomore) also scored 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3's, 0-1 FT). The Pioneers had 16 assists in the game led by Chazz Haws (6'1 Freshman) with 6.
