The 2023-24 MCC Pioneer men's basketball season will kick off Friday afternoon at 4 Bears Casino in New Town, ND as the Pioneers face North Dakota State College of Science at 2:30 PM MST.

The Pioneers are coming off an injury plagued season in which MCC suited up only 5 players for the final game of the season and finished with only 3 on the court. The Pioneers were 8-23 in 2022-23. 

MCC returns 4 players from last season led by Payton Kokot (Livingston, MT) and  Ethan Venema (Churchill, MT). Kokot averaged 8.5 points per game and Venema averaged 7.9 points and 6 rebounds. Chazz Haws (Billings, MT) returns along with Ethan Bell (Chinook, MT) who sat out last season due to a foot injury. 

Head Coach Chase Tait enters his 15th full season for the Pioneers and will have 10 new players on the roster. 

MCC will have 14 home games in the 2023-24 season.
