2nd Half Run Pushes Williston State Past Pioneers

Williston State rallied from a 13-point deficit with 2:00 to go in the 1st half to cut the MCC Pioneer lead to 35-29 at halftime. They took that momentum and ran with it in the 2nd half and pushed past the Pioneers 82-73 on Thursday night in Miles City, MT. 

The Tetons got 25 points (10-19 FG, 2-3 3's, 3-5 FT) and 12 rebounds from Rex Stirling (6'8 Freshman) to aid in the victory. Tyler Best (6'6 Freshman) contributed 15 points (5-15 FG, 2-8 3's, 3-4 FT) and 7 rebounds while Benjamin Yombi (6'2 Freshman) netted 14 points (4-10 FG, 1-2 3's, 5-6 FT) and 5 assists. Richard Massey (6'1 Freshman) came off the bench to score 11 points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3's, 6-6 FT).

Ethan Venema (6'7 Sophomore) led the Pioneers with 19 points (8-19 FG, 1-2 3's, 2-2 FT), 6 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Payton Kokot (6'3 Sophomore) added 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3's) while Ethan Bell (6'0 Sophomore) and Koak Kok (6'7 Freshman) each had 10 points.
