Pioneers 79... Dawson 125
The Dawson CC men's basketball team pushed 8 players into double figures with a 71 point 2nd half and the Buccaneers thumped the Pioneers 125-79 in the regular season finale in Miles City, MT.
Dawson broke open a close game at the 8:00 mark of the 1st half after leading 28-27 by outscoring the Pioneers 26-13 to take a 54-40 halftime lead. Dawson then shot 71% in the 2nd half and continued to expand its lead over the final 20 minutes.
Justin Asi (6'6 Freshman) led the way for Dawson with 26 points (10-13 FG, 5-5 3's, 1-3 FT). Demetric Kindle (6'3 Freshman) came off the bench to add 17 points (5-6 FG, 7-9 FT) with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Ty Buckmon (6'2 Sophomore) added 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3's, 1-1 FT) and added 4 assists. Seth Amunrud (6'3 Freshman) scored 12 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3's, 2-2 FT) and Sam Massaquoi (5'10 Freshman), Jordan Jasper (6'1 Freshman), and Kur Maler (6'7 Freshman) all put in 11 points. Roniel Oguekwe (6'7 Sophomore) added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Miles was led by Payton Kokot (6'3 Sophomore) with 14 points (4-8 FG, 3-5 3's, 3-5 FT) and Daniel Piech Meat (6'6 Sophomore) with 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 FT). Aguir Dawam (6'7 Sophomore) had 11 points 4-6 FG, 1-1 3's, 2-6 FT) and 8 rebounds. Ryder Lee (6'5 Freshman) also had 11 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3's, 1-2 FT).

The winner of that game will play Dawson in the semifinals on Saturday in Wahpeton, ND.
