PIONEER RODEO SIGNS NAAUAO-ASING

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College rodeo team has announced that Isaiah Naauao-Asing will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

Naauao-Asing is a 5'7" steer wrestler, team roper, and tie-down roper from Haiku, HI. He attends high school at King Kekaulike High School.

Isaiah was the high school steer wrestling state champion in his junior year and the high school steer wrestling district champion in his senior year. Naauao-Asing was also a member of Team Hawaii at the National High School Finals Rodeo.

Naauao-Asing is the son of Malia Asing and the grandson of Debbie & Berry Uyetake.

While at MCC, Isaiah plans to major in Equine Studies.

Isaiah on attending MCC: "A friend attending MCC recommended this school for me, so I came up to Montana on my spring break and checked out the campus, the arena, and met the rodeo coach. I enjoyed every bit of the time spent practicing with the rodeo team and it made me feel like I was at home."

Coach Badgett on Naauao-Asing: "Isaiah is an amazing talent! They definitely have some great cowboys in Hawaii. He will be a great addition to the team."
