Fall Rodeo Season Ends on Sour Note For Pioneers at UM-Western

The last event of the fall season in the Big Sky Rodeo region took place in Dillon, Montana over the weekend and the MCC Pioneers ended things on a sour note. A week after winning the men's team title at MSU-Northern, the Pioneer men placed 5th with only 200 points and the women's team failed to score. 

Cole Trexler (Corvallis, MT) placed 3rd in Tie Down Roping with a total time of 25.4 seconds. The only other Pioneers scoring points in the UM-Western event was Blayne Hubing (Circle, MT) and Dawson Jackson (Delisle, Saskatchewan) placing 5th in Team Roping. Hubing is the header and Jackson is the heeler for the event. 

The Pioneers will now have a break before the Spring season kicks of in 2022. MCC Men are sitting in 2nd place of the Big Sky Region Standings while the MCC Women are in 7th place. Trexler is in 2nd place for the All-Around title after the fall while Daylon Danks (Mandaree, ND) sits in 4th place. Trexler is 3rd in the Saddle Bronc standings, 2nd in Tie Down Roping, while Danks is 4th in Tie Down Roping, and Hubing is 13th. Hubing is also 4th in team roping as a header and Trexler is 10th. Danks is ranked 2nd as a heeler and Jackson is 4th. Tristan Setzer (Dillon, MT) is 10th as a heeler and Cody Acord is 15th.
