La Cross will begins his 2nd season as the head rodeo coach at Miles Community College. Prior to coming to MCC, La Cross was the head rodeo coach at the University of Providence from 2019 - 2021 after serving as the Argos' assistant rodeo coach for 2 years. He was also a rodeo coach at the University of Idaho from 2010-2013.

La Cross is a decorated professional cowboy and is an eight-time qualifier to the Montana Circuit Finals Rodeo for bareback riding and a four-time Northern Rodeo Association Finals bullfighter, including most recently being selected as a 2018 Montana Circuit Finals bullfighter.

La Cross strives to be a leader and positive influence for the youth of America, in person, on social media, and at the many rodeo bible camps he is involved with, including his own Broncs, Bulls and Bibles camp he holds annually at the MCC Ag Advancement Center.

La Cross' philanthropy in the sport of rodeo and his dedication to his student-athletes have also earned him the honor of being the latest recipient of the Calvin Bohleen Memorial Award, which is given in recognition to those who uphold a manner of professionalism, mentor up-and-coming athletes, and continue to invest in the sport of rodeo. La Cross treasures this distinction with the highest regard, and credits many of the men and women who have influenced him throughout his life.
