Pioneer Meghan Krantz Signs With Eastern Oregon Softball

First Baseman Meghan Krantz has signed with Eastern Oregon University to continue her softball career. "A huge reason I came to Miles was to decide if continuing my career was something I wanted to do. After talking more with Coach Juarez and finding my love for the sport again, we began looking into schools that would be a good fit. The most important aspects I focused on were being closer to home and the coaching staff. With EOU being only 4 hours from my hometown, my talks with Coach Christian, and my visit to La Grande I knew it was the right fit for me! The culture that is being created by the new staff is exactly what I am looking for. I am extremely excited to further my softball journey at Eastern Oregon after completing a great year at Miles."

A few of Meghan's accolades at Miles CC include making the President's list with a 4.0 fall semester, being a team captain, and helping the team earn their first win in program history. There will be more to come in the Pioneer career for Meghan. Meghan has said in reference to this season at MCC,  "I cannot wait to see how things play out this year. We have a solid team with a great set of coaches to back it up. We are an unexpected force that will shake up our conference for sure. The thought of leaving after this season makes me sad because of the relationships I have made. I don't want to leave them but I feel like my purpose here has been to push the girls out of their comfort zone and to help them gain confidence. I have great teammates and I love that I have been able to impact their lives even if it was for a short period of time. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to play again at EOU and I cannot thank the people at Miles enough for helping me get there."
