Pioneers End Regular Season With 8 Straight Wins

Game 1 - Pioneers 10... Williston State 0 (5 Innings)

Kassidy Kinzie continued her hot pitching with a 2-hit shutout of Williston State on Friday afternoon. Kinzie registered 14 strikeouts out of the 15 outs that the Tetons had. CF Autum Porter led the offensive charge with a 2-3 performance at the plate that included a double and a home run. She had 2 RBI and scored twice as well. C Janie Nelson smoked a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 3rd as the Pioneers plated 7 in that inning to build a 10-run lead. DP Megan Toplovich was 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. 

The Pioneers struck out only once in the game and scored 10 runs on 8 hits. 

Game 2 - Pioneers 20... Williston State 1

The MCC Pioneers finished the regular season on an 85 degree afternoon in Miles City. The only thing hotter than the temperature was the Pioneer bats as MCC pumped 6 home runs and 4 doubles in a dominating 20-1 victory over the Tetons. 

SS Tessa Della Silva was 3-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored that also included one of the Pioneer home runs. Abby Johnson was 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and 2 runs scored. CF Autumn Porter had another big game with a 2-4 showing at the plate with 2 dingers and 6 RBI. She also scored 3 runs. LF Taylor Woolley was 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Pitcher Kelealani Waiau helped herself in the circle by going 2-4 at the plate and a mammoth home run that might still be in the air. She had 3 RBI in the game. Sam Burke came in to play right field and hit a grand slam home run to cap things off in the bottom of the 4th inning. 

The Pioneers have won 8 straight games and finish the regular season 21-12-1 overall and a 2nd place MonDak Conference record of 18-5-1. MCC will play in the conference playoffs starting Tuesday in Glendive.
