The back to back Region XIII Champion Miles CC Pioneer softball team will host Kirkwood College of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the North Plains District Championship on Saturday and Sunday (May 14-15). This is a best of 3 series with the winner advancing to the NJCAA DII Softball World Series in Oxford, Alabama from May 24-28. 

Miles comes in as the 2-time Region XIII Champion after defeating Dawson CC 9-6 (8 innings) Monday in a winner take all deciding game. The Pioneers are 25-15 on the season and looking to advance to the schools 1st World Series in only the 2nd full season in the programs existence. 

Kirkwood enters the series as the Region XI Champion by defeating Iowa Lakes CC 1-0 (8 innings) and is 42-15 on the season. 

Games 1 & 2 will be played on Saturday starting at 1:00 PM. If the teams split games on Saturday, the winner take all game 3 will be Sunday at 1:00 PM.
