MCC Pioneer Head Softball Coach Erica O'Connell has announced her first signee for the 2024-25 class.
Rylynn Krein, a pitcher/utility player from Fergus Falls, Minnesota has signed with the Pioneers. During her junior year at Fergus Falls High School, Krien had a 2.3 ERA with 116 strikeouts. At the plate, Krein batted .525 with a slugging percentage of .814. She also had a .932 fielding percentage while playing shortstop. Krein has played varsity softball since her 7th grade year. She earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore and junior. She earned team MVP honors as a freshman, sophomore, and junior and offensive MVP as a sophomore and junior.
She played club ball for Diamond Academy out of Fargo, ND from 2021-2025.
Krein has also been an All-Conference on the soccer field and has played varsity hockey as well.
