Game 1 - Pioneers 16... Williston State 7 (6 Innings)
The MCC Pioneers took out some frustration from Friday's loss and put 16 runs on the board in game 1 on Saturday morning in Miles City. Taylor Feller (C - Laurel, MT) cracked 2 home runs to keep building on her already Pioneer career home run lead. Dalilah Hernandez (Laurel, MT) Khloey Robinson (LF - Belgrade, MT) each smacked 3 hits and had 2 RBI on the game while Arin Eaton (RF - Belgrade, MT) accounted for 2 hits and 5 RBI.
MCC struck 1st with a run in the top of the 1st inning when Shannon Nelson (SS - Livingston, MT) scored on a Brooke Richardson (1B - Helena, MT) ground out after leading the game off with a walk. Williston answered with 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 1st inning.
The Pioneers took the lead for good with 3 runs in the 3rd inning when Cassidy Bagnell (CF - Frenchtown, MT) hit a one out triple and that was followed by Feller's first home run of the game. With 2 outs, Hernandez and Isabelle Adams (3B - Park City, MT) each singled and Robinson drove in Hernandez with a double to rightfield.
The score stayed 4-2 until the 5th inning when the Pioneers scored 4 runs to put the game on ice. Hernandez and Adams started the inning with back to back singles and Robinson followed with a RBI single. That opened the door for Eaton to send a 3-run home run to the depths of centerfield and a 8-2 Pioneer lead.
MCC opened the floodgates with 8 runs in the top of the 6th inning to go up 16-2. Feller led the inning off with a solo home run and Richardson singled to set up a 2-run homer from Hernandez. Robinson singled and Sierra Tuss (DP - Belgrade, MT) walked and the runners moved to 2nd and 3rd on a wild pitch and Eaton singled to drive in 2 more. Eaton moved to 3rd on 2 passed balls and Nelson drew another walk and Eaton scored on another wild pitch for a 14-2 lead. Bagnell followed that with another walk and Ella Anderson (Miles City, MT) then drove in 2 with a single to centerfield to round out the Pioneer scoring.
Williston tried to keep the game going by scoring 5 runs in the 6th inning but it was not enough to extend the game.
Peyton Whitehead (Joliet, MT) picked up another win in the circle with a complete game 6 innings (9 H, 7 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO).

Game 2 - Pioneers 14... Williston State 2 (6 Innings)
Brooke Richardson had a 3-4 (4 RBI, 2 R) effort at the plate and Isabelle Adams went deep and accounted for 3 RBI as the Pioneers swept Williston on Saturday with a 14-2 win in game 2.
The Pioneers got 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning after Shannon Nelson, Cassidy Bagnell, and Taylor Feller all walked to load the bases. Brooke Richardson got her 1st 2 RBI with a single to leftfield. Williston State answered with a run in the bottom of the inning on a lead off solo home run.
MCC picked up 2 more runs in the 3rd inning as Feller walked again and Richardson hit another single. Dalilah Hernandez walked to load the bases and Isabelle Adams hit a sacrifice fly RBI to centerfield. Sierra Tuss (DP - Belgrade, MT) drove in Richardson with a RBI single to rightfield. Williston State got their final run in the bottom of the 4th to cut the lead to 4-2 before the Pioneers took off.
Two more runs came in the 5th inning for MCC when Feller singled and moved to 3rd on a Teton error. A Brooke Richardson sacrifice fly that scored Feller made the score 5-2. Hernandez reached on an error, Adams singled, and Robinson walked to load the bases for a RBI single from Tuss to make the score 6-2.
The Pioneers saw the rain coming and did not want to play another inning as they plated 8 runs in the 6th inning to put a lid on game 2. Feller walked again and Richardson reached on an error. The runners moved up on a passed ball before Hernandez delivered 2 RBI with a single to centerfield. Isabelle Adams popped a solo home run for a 10-2 Pioneer lead. Robinson was hit by a pitch, Eaton singled, and Nelson walked to load the bases. Bagnell drilled a 2 RBI double and Feller followed with a RBI single to make the score 13-2. Richardson gave the Pioneers their final run of the game with a RBI single.
Rian Ferriter (Butte, MT) pitched a complete game 6 innings (5 H, 2 R, ER, 2 BB, 5 SO) to pick up the win.
