Game 1 - Pioneers 6... Dawson 11 (Region XIII Championship)
The MCC Pioneers needed one win on Saturday to capture the Region XIII softball title. Site host Dawson CC made sure that didn't happen as they scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and led wire to wire in back to back games to take the Region XIII title.
Dawson scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st on a home run and the Pioneers cut the lead to 2-1 in the 2nd inning on a Brooke Richardson (1B - Helena, MT) home run but Dawson took off from there building a 9-1 lead in the 4th inning. The Pioneers tried to get back in the game with a run in the bottom of the 4th after Taylor Feller (C - Laurel, MT) was hit by a pitch and Richardson walked before Isabelle Adams (3B - Park City, MT) drove in Feller with a single.
In the 5th inning, the Pioneers scored 3 runs to cut the lead to 9-5 when Richardson walked with the bases loaded and Dalilah Hernandez (2B - Laurel, MT) reached base on a Dawson error that drove in 2 runs. Dawson would quickly get 2 of those runs back in the 6th inning to go up 11-5 and the Pioneers would get one run in the bottom of the 7th on a RBI single from Khloey Robinson (LF - Belgrade, MT).
Peyton Whitehead (Joliet, MT) got the start in the circle and pitched 3.1 innings (3 H, 8 R, 5 ER, 5 BB, 3 SO) before being replaced by Rian Ferriter (Butte, MT) for the next 3.2 innings (6 H, 3 R, ER, BB, SO).

Before the Pioneers could even get to the plate in the first inning, Dawson batter hit 2 3-run home runs as the Buccaneers took a 6-0 lead and never looked back to win their 3rd game of the day.
Dawson scored another run in the 2nd inning before the Pioneers got a run on the board in the bottom of the 2nd on a home run by Dalilah Hernandez.
The Dawson lead swelled to 12-1 and the Pioneers picked up their final run of the season in the bottom of the 5th on a RBI single from Taylor Feller that drove in Megan Brownson (DP - Billings, MT).
Rian Ferriter pitched the first 3 innings (6 H, 7 R, 2 BB, 2 SO) and Arin Eaton finished the final 2 innings (6 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, SO).
Inside the Box Score
