PIONEERS STAY UNBEATEN

The Pioneers traveled to Gillette, WY to take on the Pronghorns of Gillette College on Tuesday evening.  After getting out to a quick 23-9 start in the first quarter, MCC cooled off a little in the second quarter and allowed the Pronghorns to come back within seven.  However, a small run before the half and a three pointer at the buzzer by Carmela Garcia led the Pioneers into the half with a 36-22 lead.  The Pioneers had trouble converting under the basket all night, but were able to make up for it by shooting 50% from the three point line in the second half.  MCC ultimately put the game away in the fourth quarter and got the victory, 74-55

Patrycja Jaworska led the Pioneers in scoring with 28 points, followed by Kylee Meredith with 14.  Claire Borot had eight rebounds and three assists to lead the team.  Bre Moea'i and Laura Moya each had five steals.

The Pioneers will take the Thanksgiving Holiday off and be back in action again on November 28 against Yellowstone Christian College in the Kailey Gymnasium at 5:00 pm.
