PIONEERS GET PAST MYSTICS, IMPROVE TO 15-0

(Bismarck, ND)  The Miles Community College women's basketball team defeated Bismarck State College, 73-57, in there first conference game of the season.  The Mystics led the Pioneers in the first quarter and made the first half of play interesting for the Pioneers.  There were six ties and six lead changes in the first half, with the Pioneers taking a two point lead into the locker room at the half, 31-29.  Patrycja Jaworska had a 3-point basket to start the second half and jumpstarted the Pioneer offense.  MCC would start to pull away in the third and lead 55-43 to start the fourth and final quarter.  It was a great game defensively for the Pioneers.  They forced 32 turnovers and had 20 steals against BSC.  This was an important road win for the Pioneers against a great conference team in the Mystics.  

Dakota Dosch led the Pioneers in scoring with 14, followed by Claire Borot with 13.  Borot completed the double-double with 10 rebounds to lead the team.  Laura Moya and Claire Borot led the Pioneers with three assists each.  

The women will be in search of win number 16 tomorrow night against the Jamestown College JV squad in Jamestown at 4:30 pm.
