GEER SCORES 22, PIONEERS IMPROVE TO 20-0

(Miles City, MT) The Jacks of Dakota College at Bottineau traveled to Miles City Thursday evening to face the Pioneers in a conference matchup.  The Pioneers put on a dominating performance from the beginning.  After the first quarter, the Pioneers held a commanding 33-4 lead and took a 52-18 lead into the locker room at the half.  MCC shot 54.7% from the field and 40.6% from beyond the three-point line.  The Pioneers forced 43 turnovers in the game and had an amazing 30 steals.  With a final score of 100-48, the Pioneers improve to 20-0 on the season and 5-0 in the conference.

Josselin Geer was the high scorer for MCC with 22.  Geer shot 8/10 from the field and 6/7 from the 3-point line.  Patrycja Jaworska added 16, followed by Lucia Salazar with 14, and Caitlyn Barkins with 10.  Lucia Salazar and Caitlyn Barkins led the team in rebounds with five each.  Carmela Garcia had five assists to lead the team.  Patrycja Jaworska led the team in steals with five, followed by Dakota Dosch and Lucia Salazar with four each.

The Pioneers will travel to Glendive, MT on Monday to face the Dawson Bucs at 5:30 pm.
