PIONEERS DOMINATE BUCS, IMPROVE TO 21-0

(Glendive, MT) Five Pioneers scored in double figures and led MCC to an easy victory on Monday evening against conference rival, Dawson Community College.  It was all Pioneers from the beginning, as the Pioneers got up to a 33-18 lead in the first quarter and took a 46-30 lead into halftime.  The Pioneer defense eventually wore down the Bucs, causing 32 turnovers and scoring 33 points off of those turnovers.  The Pioneer defense also had 23 steals in the game.  All 12 of the Pioneers contributed to this victory, with everybody in the scoring column.  MCC ran away with the victory, 96-50.  With this victory, the Pioneers improve to 21-0 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.

Bre Moea'i was the leading scorer with 15, followed by Patrycja Jaworska with 12.  Claire Borot, Kate Golovkina, and Kylee Meredith each had 11 on the night.  Jaworska led the team in rebounds with seven, followed by Caitlyn Barkins with six.  Josselin Geer and Carmela Garcia each had three assists to lead the Pioneers.  Moea'i led the team with four steals.

The Pioneers return home to face Bismarck State on Thursday evening in at 5:30 pm in the Kailey Gymnasium.
