PIONEERS DOMINATE BEAR PAWS

(Miles City, MT)  Six players scored in double figures on Sunday afternoon in the Kailey Gymnasium, as the Pioneers easily defeated Stone Child College, 120-47.  The Bear Paws never had a chance against the Pioneers.  After starting the game with a 29-12 lead in the first quarter, the Pioneers outscored the Bear Paws 40-7 in the second to take a 69-19 lead into halftime.  MCC was, once again, very good from three, shooting 44% for the game from beyond the arc.  The Pioneers forced 45 turnovers in the game, and scored 58 points off of those turnovers.  MCC also had 27 steals in the game.  

Josselin Geer led the Pioneers in scoring with 22 points.  Carmela Garcia contributed 16, followed by Kate Golovkina with 15, Kylee Meredith with 12, Laura Moya with 11, and Bre Moea'i  with 11.  Golovkina led the team in rebounds with eight, followed by Moea'i with seven.  Moya had seven assists to lead the team, followed by Meredith with five.  Geer led the Pioneers in steals with five.

The Pioneers are in action again Monday, February 18 at 5:30 pm when they face the Tetons of Williston State.
