PIONEERS TOP TETONS, IMPROVE TO 28-0

(Miles City, MT)  It was another dominating performance by the women's basketball Pioneers on Monday evening against Williston State.  MCC took the early lead and wouldn't relinquish it, going into halftime with a 47-27 lead over the Tetons.  The Pioneer defense took control of the game, forcing 40 turnovers and scoring 41 points off of those turnovers.  MCC shot the ball well again from three point land, shooting 50% from beyond the arc.  The Pioneers had 28 assists on 35 made baskets.  Six Pioneers scored in double digits, as the Pioneers easily defeated the Tetons, 96-58.  

Kylee Meredith led the Pioneers in scoring with 15, followed by Patrycja Jaworska with 14, Caitlyn Barkins with 13, Dakota Dosch with 11, Lucia Salazar with 11, and Laura Moya with 10.    Barkins and Josselin Geer led in rebounds, pulling down four boards each.  Jaworska led the team with six assists, followed by Dosch with five.  Dosch led the Pioneers in steals with five.  

The Pioneers will face in-state rival, Dawson Bucs on Thursday evening at 5:30 pm in the Kailey Gymnasium.  Thursday night will be Military Appreciation Night at MCC.  All military personnel will get in free as a way for MCC to say thank you!
