Lady Pioneers Lose Foul Fest in Powell, WY

In a back and forth game that saw 14 ties and 15 lead changes, the NWC Trappers held the final straw as 6 MCC Lady Pioneers fouled out in a 75-71 Trapper win. MCC finished the last minute of the game with only 4 players on the court. The Lady Pioneers were whistled for 35 fouls and NWC took advantage by hitting 32-41 FT including 6-6 late in the Trapper's come back victory. Miles led 68-62 with a little more than 3 minutes to play before the Trappers rallied at the free throw line. 

Binta Salawu scored 28 points and dished out 3 assists but hit only 12-19 from the FT line for the game. Lili Long was the only other Pioneer in double figures with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Claire Borot led the team in rebounds with 12. The loss evened up the Pioneer record at 6-6.

Neither team shot well as NWC converted only 26% of its FG attempts (18-69) and MCC only hit on 32% of its FG attempts including a 6-25 effort from 3 point line. The Pioneers were also 25-35 from the FT line.
