Miles Wins Big Against Central Wyoming

Claire Borot scored a season high 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead Miles CC to a 87-57 road win over Central Wyoming on Saturday. Miles led only 37-32 at halftime but outscored the Rustlers 50-25 in the 2nd half to end it's non-conference schedule at 8-8. Binta Salawu continued her strong play with 17 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals while Lili Long chipped in 14 and Olyvia Pacheco netted 11 in the route.

Central WYoming suited up only 6 players due to multiple reasons and led the game 19-17 at the end of the 1st quarter. MCC depth proved to be too much in the final 3 quarters as MCC forced 29 Ruster turnovers and also hit on 12-26 from 3-point range.

The Lady Pioneers will begin defense of their MonDak Conference title on Thursday night as they host the preseason MonDak tournament winner Bismarck State at 5:30 PM at the MCC Centra.
