Lady Pioneers Hold Off NDSCS

Claire Borot scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Binta Salawu continued her strong play with 18 points and dished out 8 assists as the MCC Pioneers won their 3rd straight game with a hard fought 63-59 win over North Dakota State College of Science Sunday afternoon in Miles City. MCC moved to 2-0 in MonDak Conference play and 10-8 overall. NDSCS dropped to 1-1 in league play and 14-3 overall. 

The game was tight the whole way as neither team could gather momentum. MCC had a huge advantage at the foul line as they converted 21-27 compared to 8-16 for the Wildcats. Rebounding was even at 40-40. Kate Carlson came off the bench to score 17 points for the Wildcats and was the only player in double figures. 

MCC next game is Wednesday night at Lake Region State College at 5:30 PM MST.
