Lady Pioneers Squash Williston State

Binta Salawu scored 18 points and had 5 assists and all 5 starters scored in double figures as the MCC Pioneers used a 28-10 2nd quarter edge to cruise to a 78-39 win over Williston State and maintain their lead in the MonDak Conference. Claire Borot added 17 points and 4 assists while Lili Long hit for 11 and KP Hoffman and Olyvia Pacheco both scored 10 in the lopsided win. MCC also outscored the Tetons 25-7 in the 3rd quarter and built as much as a 43 point 2nd half lead. MCC forced 22 Teton turnovers and domintated the board for the evening as well 40-29. 

The Lady Pioneers (4-0, 12-8) also had 19 assists on 27 made field goals and had 14 steals while tolding Williston State to only 1-13 from the 3-point line.  MCC will hit the road on Wednesday as they travel to Dakota College-Bottineau for a 5:30 PM CST tip off and will try to maintain their conference lead.
