Lady Pioneers Use Free Throw Line to Beat United Tribes

The Australian combination of Binta Salawu and Lili Long each scored 20 points as the Lady Pioneers rallied from an 11 point 1st quarter deficit to stay tied on top of the league standings with a 76-67 win over United Tribes in Miles City. The Pioneers were ice cold from the field but used a 25-35 advantage at the free throw line to rally for the win. MCC shot a paltry 23-78 from the field and 5-23 from the 3-point line on the evening. United Tribes shot 25-59 from the field but only 13-19 from the free throw line and was also hurt by 23 turnovers. 

Long also had 12 rebounds and Salawu added 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Claire Borot had 11 points and was the only other Lady Pioneer in double figures. Karissa DuShane led the T-Birds in scoring with 18 points while Kierra Johnson had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
